Vice Chancellor's Message

Dear Prospective Students It gives me an immense pleasure to have an opportunity to lead an institution in this remote part of the country which has rich cultural values and untapped potentials to excel in every sphere of life. In the backdrop of the opportunities and challenges to lead a nascent organization, I have a vision to take the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat to the role of leading change in the socio-economic arena while firmly clinging to our established social norms and ethical values. This vision could be materialized only through team-work, synergy and sharing responsibility by all stake-holders from within the campus including faculty, administration and students and the outside stake-holders viz. local intelligentsia, parents and the public at large. We shall provide a congenial environment of mutual trust, unity, discipline and respect for all the stakeholders in order to achieve our goals of excellence in teaching, learning and research. Here, in the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat, we will strive to undertake cutting-edge research on the problems faced by the community at local level and by the nation at the broader perspective and to apply the outcomes of that research for developing efficient, cost-effective, sustainable solutions to such problems and to create competitive advantage, for building a knowledge driven economy.

Furthermore, we will equip our graduates with necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) to enable them benefit from the opportunities and prospects offered by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at national as well as at global levels. While finding ways and means to benefit from the cost-effective local / regional opportunities of better livelihood in the spheres of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Wild life, Social Sciences and Bio Sciences would also be given priority.

With the help and support of well qualified and dedicated faculty, talented students and competent staff, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat will achieve several milestones in near future. I am confident that with the commitment of colleagues and prayers of well-wishers, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat will become a high seat of learning and will soon find a place among the top universities in the country. In this background, I welcome you as a prospective student in this university. Programs launched by this University require hard work, commitment and require you to stay on the campus and at your experimental stations for long working hours. The University makes all arrangements to provide a conducive environment for study and research. As you have to take up responsibility in the society at a later stage as a scientific leader of the nation, you need to be well prepared for it. I assure you, that, if you work honestly and devotedly to improve your knowledge and professional skills, the University faculty shall provide you all support towards accomplishment of your graduate studies and research in the most useful manner.
